The Many Faces of Halloween

For Brady's work party, he dressed up as New Mexico; yes you heard right, New Mexico. It was funny. He cut a box into the shape of the state and glued the flag on it, the state animal, motto, etc. Everyone seemed to get a kick out of it.

The back of New Mexico

For our friend Halloween party, Brady and I just wore big afros and were "twins." We wore the same color jeans, the same watches, the same shoes and both had afros; our friends seemed to like it

Also, on a side note, we purchased Jazz season tickets this year and we have had so much fun going to the games! Some of the games we can't attend due to school, but we LOVE the Jazz. It has been a blast! My best friend Katie sits right next to us with her season tickets, so we always go to the games together. Great times!

Lagoon and Family Fun
Mindy, Dustin, Bevin and Missy. Is Bevin's hat so cute or what?
Me and my hubby--only REAL men wear pink!
Me and my mamacita
Brady loved the bumper cars
My cute nephews Koen and Kade
Nate and Gina
Grandma and Grandpa Olsen--love them!
Lounging out on the hammock at Strawberry Pinnacles, in Fruitland, Utah. It was so much fun--we loved tubing down the river and just hanging out with the family. Is there anything better than that?!
We've had a great summer; it's a bummer that school is already starting tomorrow--I can't believe it!! On one hand, I feel ready to get back in the swing of things with school, but on the other hand, I feel like I just got done with summer semester! Oh well, I am happy to be getting an education and keep telling myself that it will all pay off in the end. Today we bought our school books and that always puts a damper on the day, but oh well. :) Thursday, August 20, 2009
Sun & Fun
Our new car
Our old car, Brady loved this car SO much!
A couple weeks ago we took advantage of the "cash for clunkers" program and got ourselves a new Nissan Sentra. We love it! It's so cute and fun--we were both sad to see the Chrysler New Yorker Fifth Avenue go (it was Brady's favorite car, next to the Dodge Spirit he drove when he was 16), but this will be a good change and will last us a long time. I even asked the salesman if it could fit 2 car seats in the back. I'm just thinking ahead for when that time comes. :) Saturday, June 27, 2009
Time to Play Catch Up
Brady thought the fake tattoo on his arm was pretty sweet. Thank goodness it's not real.
Our cute nephew Brigden was born and we already love him so much! When I look at this picture I can't help but imagine us with a little baby (whenever that might be). How exciting! Brigden is so sweet and I love holding him. Maybe it's the "mother" in me, but I can just hold him and stare at him, he is so precious. Congrats Phil and Alesha!
We've been enjoying spending time with our family this summer. This is obviously before Alesha delivered, but she looks cute as ever pregnant.
Brady and Phil playing soccer

Me and Tanna at Katelyn's birthday party at the park. We have loved spending time our nieces and nephews...they are so much fun!!
Me and my Grandma and Grandpa Olsen
A couple weeks ago, Brady and I went to Abravanel Hall to see Joel McHale from The Soup. Oh my gosh, he is hilarious!! We watch The Soup every Saturday morning and had such a fun time seeing him in person.
While we were waiting outside of Abravanel Hall, Brady fell asleep on the grass. I could do nothing but take pictures of us! It was such a nice night and we had such a great time!

Here is Joel signing autographs. You only were able to get a picture with him and an autograph if you bought a t-shirt and they only accept cash. We, of course, didn't have any cash so we had to sneak pictures of him before we got kicked out. Oops!
Joel again signing away...
My friend, Sarah, moved to Arizona last year to be with her boyfriend (now fiance) and she came up over Memorial Day weekend so we all went to dinner together. We went to The Pie--yummy--and had a great time. I miss her so much. I was great to get together and catch up.

We were missing quite a few girls (Mindy, Missy, Chelsie, Mekensy, etc.) but we had a great time!
I also was able to meet up with another of my friends who moved to Arizona a few years ago. Carlyn and I were the best of friends when we worked at Electric Beach and then we just drifted apart. It has been so great to spend time with my friends this summer!!Friday, June 26, 2009
Well, On Second Thought...
As you can see from last post-heading, I thought I was back in action with this blog stuff, but I guess I was wrong. It's been two months since then and I have no new posts! I am really bad at this--why??
Brady and I were looking at our blog the other night and I realized how much I love doing this. It is a great way to "scrapbook" my pictures and "journal" what's going on in our lives. It's been hard because I got signed up with Facebook and I feel like doing both is just way too much (it's really not, I'm just lazy) and it's repetitive. But for my own sake, I am going to start this again. I am going to do one final "catch up" post and then I'll be back on track. For those of you who care, check back, probably tomorrow, and you can see what us Morlock's have been up to.
Be in touch!!

I'm Back!
Eating at Rumbis before one of the games
Me and Katie
We snuck down to the 10th row at the end of the 4th quarter when people were leaving; if only our seats were this close!
On the court afterwards. How cool.
