Happy Birthday Brady!!

Don't ask me what Brady's mustache is doing; he is growing it out until the St. Pierre/Penn fight on Saturday. Who knows why. Boys will be boys, I guess.

Today is Brady's birthday, he is finally the same age as me...24. I guess I can't say that I'm more mature and much wiser than him anymore, dang it! As a kid, birthdays were the best, but as an adult, it's just like any other day (for the most part); you get up, go to work, come home and do something fun in the evening, but it's been really nice. Brady's been sick lately and he's finally starting to feel like himself again, so it's been fun to have my "Brady" back. He got a nice watch that he's been wanting, some BJ Penn shorts and a couple of shirts. After he opened his presents, we went and ate at Texas Roadhouse, one of his favs. It's been a good day.
I look foward to spending many more birthdays with this amazing man who I am lucky enough to call my husband. I love you Brady!!!

Busy, Busy, Busy

Last weekend our friend, Jake Ewing, got all of our friends tickets to the Grizzlies hockey game. We did this last year and it was lots of fun. We had our own suite that came with food and all! It was so much fun. I don't really like hockey that much to be honest with you, maybe because I never watch it and I don't know the rules--other than the fact that they have to get the puck into the net, but it was still so much fun. As you can see from looking into the stands, there aren't very many people that attend these games. I think it's kind of funny. It's interesting the people you see at these games. :)
Some of the friends watching the game

Before the game, you can buy as many pucks as you want, and in between each quarter you can throw the pucks down onto the ice and try to hit people. It sounds a little violent and scary to me, but the boys really enjoyed it! Here is Jake showing off some of his pucks.

Cory and Kristie Lucking--Newlyweds as of December 13th. So cute!

Umm, nothing really going on here, just hanging out

Also, for those of you who didn't know, Brady and I started school on Monday. I haven't gone to school since 2005 and Brady hasn't gone since his mission, but we both felt it was time to get back into gear. I'm taking classses to transfer up to Utah State (I won't be commuting to the campus, don't worry), I'm going to be attending one of their extension programs to get my bachelors degree in Management and Human Resources (MHR). I am so excited. Brady is doing Finance, so cool. It's been an interesting adjustment and I find that I'm more tired throughout the work day because I'm staying up late doing TONS of math homework and studying for my other classes. I must admit though, it feels good to be back at school and I feel like I'm doing something "productive" with my life.

Until next time, let me leave with you a song..."The wheels on the bus go 'round and 'round, 'round and 'round, 'round and 'round, the wheels on the bus go 'round and 'round, all through the town." Even though I don't ride the bus to school, I thought this picture was very appropriate.

Happy Birthday Dad & Grandma and GO UTES!

On January 2nd, we celebrated my dad's and my grandma's birthday , it was so much fun. My cute grandma turned 87 years old; I love her so much. She said every year she has a great birthday because she gets to share it with her sonny boy, how cute! We all got together at my grandma and grandpa's house, hung out, ate goodies and watched the Utah game. It was a blast! Here are Mindy and Bevin going through the old dolls that our grandma and grandpa bought us when my sisters and I were little. We had so much fun with those dolls so it was cute that Mindy was playing with the dolls with Bevin.

I couldn't get enough of this "U" on Bevin's helmet, I just had to get a picture.

Just hanging out, eating some food.

My family and I had a great holiday season and I'm sorry I haven't posted any pictures of it. I have sooo many, I just don't even know where to start. Now that the holidays are over, I will be better at blogging for sure. I'm glad to be getting back into a routine with work and stuff. I had almost 2 weeks off for Christmas and I was starting to feel so unproductive! You can only stay up really late and sleep in until 10 or 11 for so long, you know?! Oh, by the way, Go Utes!
