Tag...You're it!

This is a random picture of us, but oh well. This is similar to my last post, so please bear with me. I got tagged by Lynae, so here goes the 7 facts about me that no one knows (except maybe my sisters, Brady or my mom).

#1. Growing up I always secretly wanted to be a tom boy and I wanted to be the best at kickball in Mr. Bauer's 6th grade class.

#2. I never "tried out" for anything (dance, sports, etc) in jr. high or high school for 2 reasons: I either felt that I was too cool or was just simply afraid of getting rejected. Sad!

#3. When I take showers or baths I come out of the bathroom looking like a bright red tomato because I love the water to be scolding hot.

#4. You won't catch me reading a newspaper, magazine, or touching any type of paper for that matter, after swimming or taking a bath. The feeling of paper on pruned, clean fingers gives me the willies! (I know, I'm really strange.)

#5. I always have to have chapstick or some sort of lip gloss on whenever I leave the house in order for me to really feel "ready" for the day.

#6. I've never lit a match in my life, it terrifies me.

#7. I never passed off parallel parking in Driver's Ed. After 11 tries, the teacher gave up and we moved onto the next test.

The Morlock Update

So, I thought you all might like to know what's going on in the wonderful world of Brady and me. We don't have too many things happening right now, but thought it would be fun to give you all a little update. Here goes nothing:

1. Brady and I just got released from Scouts in our ward and got called to team-teach the 16 and 17 year olds in Sunday School...should be fun!

2. Brady can't wait for the weather to warm up so he can go to the golf course every chance he gets. He's been working on his golf game and can't wait to put it to use.

3. We went rock climbing the other day with my sister Missy; what a great time!! I'm not very good at it, as Missy and Brady completely showed me up, but I recommend it to everyone, it is so much fun!!

4. Brady and I are planning on running in the Salt Lake City Marathon in April, although we're just shooting for the 1/2 marathon to begin with; maybe next year we can advance to running the whole 26 miles, we'll see!

5. I've started reading a new book called "The Five Love Languages" by Gary Chapman. So far it's really good. It says every person has their own "love language" and you must learn what that is and you need to learn what your spouses "love language" is as well, in order to communicate love to one another. It's very interesting and informative...I'll keep you posted...

6. We watched the Ironman Triathlon last weekend and it was so good; so inspiring! It really intrigues Brady and his interest is definitely peaked, so we are going to a free seminar in March to learn more about nutrition, training for traithlons etc.

7. With our tax return we are trying to plan a vacation/cruise. I can't wait to get out of this cold, snowy weather and into the warm sun, cool ocean breeze and feel the sand beneath my feet!

8. Last, and definitely not least, we're happy, healthy and loving life!!

Bevin's Baby Blessing!

Here are some pictures from Bevin's baby blessing on Sunday. She looked so adorable and unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of her, I'm so mad at myself! My grandma made the blessing dress out of Mindy's wedding dress and she did such an amazing job! Dustin did a great job, too and the whole day was really fun.

As some of you know, I cute 5 inches off my hair last weekend and still haven't posted any pictures...sorry! You can kind of see it in some of these pictures, but I promise to post some better ones soon!

Golf in the Round--Part 1

Because today was such nice weather, Brady wanted to go hit a bucket of balls at Golf in the Round; a driving range that is covered and heated where you hit the ball, but then opens up to a normal golfing range. I honestly thought I was a pretty good golfer, okay, not good, but definitely decent, until I saw this video! I look so uncoordinated I can't help but laugh at myself! Even though my swing isn't very good, I did hit a couple really good balls.

Golf in the Round--Part 2

Brady's swing is MUCH better than mine! You can't really tell from this video because it's really delayed, but he has such a nice swing. The reason it's so delayed is because I had to upload this video through Dropshots because I video-taped it sideways and the only way to rotate it was through Dropshots. Sorry it's so slow, but you get the idea. We had such a great time! I can't wait till Summer when we can go out after work to the driving range and hit a bucket of balls. I need all the practice I can get!!

My beautiful flowers!!

I forgot to add this to my Valentine's posts, but wanted to share my joy with all of you. I got a call at work the day before Valentine's Day (shipping was $15.00 more to have them shipped on Valentine's...gotta love that about Brady!!) that said I had a special delivery waiting for me at the front desk. I really had no idea what it could be and was shocked when I saw this beautiful boquet of roses with the sweetest card from my wonderful husband. This picture doesn't do them any justice, it was absolutey beautiful and smelled amazing!!

*The morning of Valentine's*

So I woke up on Valentine's Day and walked out to the kitchen to get a glass of water and this is what I walked out to... A heart banner with a simple sign hanging from it... This is what the sign said...
I knew it was going to be a good day! The little things mean the most and this meant so much to me! Along with this cute banner, presents were waiting for me on our kitchen table. We decided not to spend too much money on each other because Christmas just passed and Brady's birthday was just 2 weeks ago, so I had no idea what was in store for me. He gave me a hand-held Sudoku game that I can play on trax every day, some Andes Mints (I love anything with mint in it), hand sanitizer for my new desk at work, teeth whitener for the both of us to share because we keep saying that we need to whiten our teeth, and the sweetest card I've ever received. It was an amazing Valentine's Day!!

*The night of Valentine's*

After a long day at work, the last thing either of us wanted to do was go wait at least 2 hours at a nice restaurant to eat, so we decided to go to Apollo Burger! We love Apollo and haven't been there in a while, so we thought we'd go there and enjoy a nice hamburger, french fries with all the fry sauce you could ever want and a strawberry shake, which we shared, without having to wait in a long line; it was SO GOOD! Afterwards, we hopped on trax to head down town .

This is us on trax going down to the Gallivan Center to ice skate. We got all bundled up and had a great time.

I love trax, I take it to and from work every day and think it's one of the best things ever invented! Saves gas, saves money and saves me frustration from being stuck in morning and evening traffic!

Took time out for a picture
Brady trying to stay warm...
It sure was cold!

We had a blast ice skating! It brought me back to when I was little and would go up to Sun Valley every summer with my mom, my sisters and my grandma and we'd spend hours in the swimming pool and hours at the ice rink. I'm not nearly as good as I used to be, but it was so much fun! Brady thought he was really good, which I must admit he wasn't too bad! I was really impressed. He's such an athlete; he's good at any sport he tries! It's amazing!

Getting to know Britton!

What I was doing 10 years ago: Wow! Ten years ago I was fourteen!! I was a General at Eisenhower Jr. High and loving every second of it, okay not every second of it because that time of my life had a lot of ups and downs, but overall it was great! I had my first kiss, got my back brace off from my awful Scoliosis, had to cope with my father's death at the young age of 41, and made lots of life-long friendships!

5 things on my to-do-list today: Fold the laundry that is piled up in the laundry room, have a hot meal prepared for Brady when he comes home from playing church ball, go to my abs and kickboxing class at the gym (completed!), take a bath and shave my horribly hairy legs and get to bed at a decent hour.

Things I would do if I were suddenly made a billionaire: I would probably splurge and by myself a Range Rover, preferably white with tinted windows and chrome rims, pay off our house and buy a big house in a nice area with all the amenities, and last but not least, I would give to the less fortunate. Nothing would give me more joy than giving to people in need. There are probably other things I would do, I just can't think of them right now.

3 of my bad habits: I have to agree with Alesha on this first one, I always pick at my face; any little bump I find I automatically start picking at and I can't stop! I'm a sucker for Apollo Burger and jump at the chance to eat there! I haven't eaten there for a really long time because I've changed to healthy eating (or tried to at least), but no matter what, I'll always love good ol' Apollo. I still sleep with the blanket I had when I was a baby, not even joking.

Jobs I have had: A sales associate at Copper River at Fashion Place Mall, Electric Beach Tanning Salon manager, a sales consultant at Ideal Image Laser Hair Removal and now I just got promoted at my current job, a law firm down town, to Administrative Assistant! Love Love Love my job!!!

Things people don't know about me: I'm anal about cleanliness. I feel like I can't function when my house is messy, it drives me BONKERS!! I soak my feet in the bath tub at least once a day because my feet are always cold. I love to bust out in song at the top of my lungs when I'm around my family and my mom gets a kick out of it because I honestly have an awful voice. My favorite type of weather is rain; you'll never hear me singing "Rain rain go away, come again another day." I'm terrified of any type of cancer (as I'm sure a lot of you are too), just the word itself makes me cringe.
