Gotta Love the Nativity Scene

We had a family Christmas party last night at our aunt and uncle's house, it was so fun! I love the picture of Marissa, Katelyn and Missy and I just hanging out by the tree doing our thing!! I couldn't help but take pictures of this cute nativity scene that some of our nieces and cousins did. It was so cute! I love the Christmas season for times such as these...just hanging out with the fam and having a great time.

Tepanyaki...MMMM!

I realized how long it's been since I've posted anything new on our blog, so I thought I'd better get my act together and post some new pictures. So....Brady and I were invited to go to Rey's Christmas work party at Tepanyaki last week and it was so yummy! I had the chicken and shrimp with noodles, soup and veggies and Brady had steak and salmon with rice and veggies. Rey's date was Chante, I love that girl! We all had so much fun! Luckily the chef didn't throw food at me and make me catch it with my mouth. I feel like everytime I go eat at a restaurant like that they throw food at me and I just sit there with my mouth closed and the food always hits me in the head and bounces on the floor. I know, stupid of me, but I just get too embarrassed! I'm honestly laughing right now thinking of me doing that, I probably look so silly! Brady really impressed me because he caught 4 out of 5 shrimps in his mouth! Somebody had to represent for the Morlock's and it sure wasn't gonna be me.

Ugly Christmas Sweater Party!

Our friends held an Ugly Christmas sweater party last weekend, hence the sweaters Brady and I are wearing. Missy and her friend Jen "couldn't find" any Christmas sweaters after looking at 4 different stores so they are in normal clothes, but it was SO much fun! Brady found these sweaters at the D.I. along with our cute Christmas mugs to drink hot chocolate with! Everyone talked Missy and I into arm wrestling so we gave in and I won... :) That would explain the picture with the big "L" from Brady's hand by Missy's face. Good times! We played games, ate goodies, laughed hysterically and enjoyed everyone's company. Can't wait till next years' party!

My Work Christmas Party

I totally feel like I look like Donald Trump in this picture with my hair parted like this, but I swear it looked cute! I probably should have been turned the other way, oh well. My work had their annual Christmas party this year at Rice Eccles Stadium, it was beautiful. The food, the friends, the atmosphere, the evening's entertainment...everything was great! For our entertainment we had Kurt Bestor come and perform and it was awesome. I thought I would be bored with it because I'm not a huge fan, but I loved it! Unfortunatley I didn't take any pictures besides this one, so I thought I should post it.

Is This Serious?

I am embarassed even posting these pictures, but I just had to share it with all of you; hopefully you won't think differently of us after you read this and look at the nasty pictures! Brady was making pizza the other night and he got the pizza sauce out of the fridge and was trying to pour it onto the pizza crust and nothing was coming out....So, we looked in the can and lo and behold, this is what we find....GROSS! Obviously we don't use pizza sauce that often and will be sure to check next time we do! I can't believe this was growing in my refrigerator, it literally makes me sick!

Turkey Bowl

On Thanksgiving morning Brady and his friends played in their Turkey Bowl starting at 8:30 am. It was a really big deal and Brady was super excited to play in it. So, being a supportive wife, I went and watched Brady and his team WIN!! With my peppermint hot chocolate in hand, I happened to take some pretty good action shots! I must say, I was pretty impressed with myself! (If you click on each picture and enlarge it, you really can see what good action shots these are...i.e. Brady's facial expressions, grass and flags flying around etc.)

Anyone Want to go to the Gun Show?

Last night some friends of ours called and asked if we wanted to go to the shooting range and shoot some guns. Brady and I have never even held a gun in our whole lives, let alone shoot one, so we said "yes!" I have to admit, I was really scared. When we got there I instantly got dry mouth, my hands were sweating, I felt like I was going to throw up and my hands were shaking...now I know how my body reacts to true fear I guess. I've never heard a gun shot in real life (thank goodness) and then all of the sudden I'm surrounded by shots being fired left and right...Um, can you say SCARY? Brady was scared too and he'll even admit to it! He went first and did a great job like always and hit the target many times. The love of guns must be a boy thing because I was the only girl there and I wasn't sure how I felt about it, but all the boys loved it. It was finally my turn; while I was giving myself a prep talk and about ready to shoot, all the sudden I hear a machine gun go off and it scared the living daylights out of me! I instantly dropped the gun and had to regain my composure. Anyways, to make a long story short, I shot the gun 4 times and then I had had enough. As we were walking out, one of the employees talked me into shooting that machine gun that absolutely scared me. I didn't really want to, but all the boys said I should and convinced me that it was a once in a lifetime thing. It was a $25,000 gun that shoots 18 bullets a second....wow! So, I shot the gun and it was cool, I must admit. So, here are some pictures of the exciting night!

3 Generations of Peterson Women

Myself, my mom and my Nana. Two women who are huge influences in my life, love you both!!

Thanksgiving on Sunday!

So, we had our Thanksgiving dinner today with ONE side of our family and it was so much fun! We went to my Nana and Grandpa's house and had a wonderful time. You name it, she made it...Turkey, cranberries, ham, gluck to put on the ham (grape jelly and mustard mixed together), mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, fruit, cheese and crackers, pumpkin cookies and pumpkin pie with lots of whipped cream...YUMMY!! We are so lucky; and to think that we have 2 more Thanksgiving dinners this week! I sure do love the holidays, although they're not too gentle on the waist line.

Deep Thoughts...

1. Is it good if a vacuum really sucks?
2. Why is the third hand on the watch called the second hand?
3. If Webster wrote the first dictionary, where did he find the words?
4. Why do we say something is out of whack? What is a whack?
5. Why does "fat chance" and "slim chance" mean the same thing?
6. Why do "tug" boats push their barges?
7. Why do we sing "Take me out to the ball game" when we are already there?
8. Why are they called "stands" when they are made for sitting?
9. Why is it called "after dark" when it really is "after light"?
10. Doesn't "expecting the unexpected" make the unexpected expected?
11. Why are a "wise man" and a "wise guy" opposites?
12. Why do "overlook" and "oversee" mean opposite things?
13. If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay you to do it?
14. If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular?
15. Why is bra singular and panties plural?
16. Why do you press harder on the buttons of a remote control when you know the batteries are dead?
17. Why do we put suits in garment bags and garments in a suitcase?
18. How come "abbreviated" is such a long word?
19. Why do we wash bath towels? Aren't we clean when we use them?
20. Why doesn't glue stick to the inside of the bottle?
21. Why do they call it a TV set when you only have one?
22. Christmas - What other time of the year do you sit in front of a dead tree and eat candy out of your socks?

Christmas in November?!

Yep, you better believe we just finished putting up our Christmas tree! Yahoo!! It's a small one, only 4 feet tall, but it's sure cute! Christmas is just around the corner and we're already in the holiday spirit! This will be our first Christmas as a married couple (if you'll notice the silver ribbon on the tree, that's the ribbon that I wore around my waist at our wedding...just a little sentimental touch on my part) and we're really excited to have a great time with the people we love the most...our family. I hope Santa brings me something good!!

100% in LOVE!

Shannyn's Wedding!

I was one of Shannyn's bridesmaid's at her wedding on Friday, November 2nd. It was such a fun day! She looked so beautiful and so happy! We woke up early and went to breakfast at 6:00 in the morning (so I woke up at 4:30 to get ready) and I didn't go to bed till after midnight...it was a long day, but very fun!

Our little slideshow...

Dinner @ Asian Star

A couple weeks ago some of my girlfriends from Electric Beach got together at Asian Star with our husbands/boyfriends for dinner. It was so much fun! I LOVE spicy food so I got the Pon Pon Chicken...so good! It's always fun to reconnect with old friends and catch up on old times. I worked and managed a tanning salon for 5 years and loved it! But I had a better opportunity and couldn't pass it up. I miss the girls from "the Beach" and we had a great time.
