My Husband is SUCH a Trooper!

Let me begin this post by back-tracking to last night. Every Wednesday night Brady and his friends play in a recreation basketball league, so that's what he did last night. They were short 2 players so everyone on the team had to play the whole time. Brady came home and told me that his feet were hurting, so he took off his shoes and socks and this is what his feet looked like! He was running so hard that it started taking the skin off the bottom of his big toes! I felt so bad. I knew that he wouldn't want to run in the Deseret News 10K that we registered for, so I just planned to run by myself this morning. So, I woke up at 4:45 AM and got ready for the race and all of the sudden he gets out of bed and starts getting ready too! I was so happy, even though I told him I didn't think he should run with his feet all blistered like they are, but he insisted. (I know he did it because I kept talking about how excited I was to run this morning, he is the best!)

This is what we came up with...Neosporin, gauze and blue paint tape! It seemed to suffice throughout the race because he did great! I have to tell you he did better than I did and I wasn't the one with blisters.
We took the picture of us in the car on the way up to the University (We started at University Research Park and ran down to Liberty Park). Before every race we always eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, so we just thought we would document it.

This picture was taken after the race! We put the camera on self-timer and put it on the hood of the car so we could get a picture of us at the end. I want to tell Brady that there is nobody else I would EVER want to run a race with besides you! Thanks for pushing me through when I want to quit and motivating me to "push it because we're almost there!" You are my best friend and my much needed support system, I love you SOOOOO much!

What A Weekend!

Over the weekend we went up to Jordanelle and camped over night Friday and went boating all day Saturday with some of our friends, what a blast! We all went to bed SOOO late on Friday night (I went to bed around 3:00 AM and Brady didn't get to bed til around 5:00 AM) so Saturday made for a long day, considering we woke up at 6:15 AM, but it was awesome. After we got home from boating, we went over to our friends house and watched UFC...what more could a girl ask for?!?! I am happy to say that I got quite a bit of color.....YAY!! I love my swim suit tan lines; it's fun to wear a shirt and be able to see them around my neck...I know, I'm weird. Here are some pictures of the weekend.

Setting up the tent. Um, what is Brady doing? He's a little crazy!

Sitting around the campfire and just hanging out. Don't worry, Brady's knife is very dull. Yes, my husband truly is a character, but no need to fret!

Brady and Sean in their really cool visors from the D.I.

Brady getting ready to try wakeboarding for the first time. He did really well, but I wasn't able to get any good pictures of him.

Missy and I had a blast tubeing together!

Go Missy!!

Go Bees!

Brady showing off the foul ball he caught.

Sean, Shauna and Brady.

We went to a Bee's game over the weekend and it was so much fun! I haven't gone to one since last year and we had a great time. My good friend Katie is a Honeybee there and got us tickets. While we were standing in the will-call line to get our tickets, a foul-ball came right over our heads and Brady ran after it and got it, he was so excited! He carried it around the whole game and even brought it to dinner afterwards. Not only did Brady get a foul ball, but he also got us 3 T-shirts! They were throwing them out to the people that were being loud and attracting lots of attention, so as I sat and enjoyed the game, Brady got us some new shirts! Even though they are XL's and say "Geek Squad" on them, I always love anything that's FREE!

Kearns Oquirrh Park Fitness Center

Last weekend Brady, Mindy, Dustin, Bevin and I all went swimming at the Kearns Rec. pool. When I initially think about Kearns, my first thought is "ghetto",not to be rude, but I was completely wrong...this pool is amazing!! It is like an amusement park for little kids, I was amazed! I've never seen a recreation pool look like this. I should have taken pictures, sorry! So, for those of you that have kids or just want a new, fun pool to go to, you need to go to the Kearns Oquirrh Park Fitness Center.

Brady jumping off the platforms....It was so funny because as soon as he jumped off, he started kicking his legs around so fast and instantly plugged his nose. He's a little kid at heart.

Dustin jumping off the platforms...

Me and Brady...he takes pride in those sunglasses, so don't laugh at them. He got them for 50 cents, brand new, at the D.I. He loves the D.I.

The cute Moutsos family.
After a couple hours of hanging by the pool and having a great time, Mindy got "splashed" by some water (or so she thought) and looked down on her leg, and the blanket that she and Bevin were sitting on, and found this.....BIRD POOP! We were all laughing so hard even though it was so gross! After that, we thought it was time to go, so we left. :)

Um, Excuse Me?

Yay, my computer is finally working and I couldn't wait to post this for those of you who haven't seen this...This weeks edition of Entertainment Weekly hit stands today and guess who's on the cover....Edward and Bella!! I cannot believe how they portrayed them though, this picture doesn't compliment either of them! Yeah, Bella looks really pretty in this picture, but it's not who she is; she isn't the girl who gets all dolled-up and wear lots of makeup and she definitely isn't described as that beautiful in the book. She's supposed to be pale and plain, with hardly any makeup on, if any at all! Edward definitely doesn't look his best, in my opinion. Isn't he supposed to be undeniably gorgeous? Um, well, not in this picture. He has dirty hands, his hair is ugly, it looks like he has white powder all over his face and what's up with side-belt buckle? I think the photographers completely missed the mark on this one. They obviously haven't read the Twilight series because they had no idea how to portray Edward and Bella. If you can't tell, I'm a little bummed about the picture. Oh well, life definitely goes on...

Hey, Hey, Hey What Is Going On Here?

For those of you that ever watched Saved by the Bell growing up, does the title of my post totally sound like Mr. Belding or what?! Ha ha ha...No, seriously though, what is going on with blogspot right now? I have 2 really fun posts that I want to put up and it won't let me post any pictures, it says there is an "internal error." I don't know if it's just my computer or if anybody else is having this problem, but it's really annoying! Let me know if my computer is just ghetto or if yours is doing the same thing. Anyways, stay tuned for some posts once I get this stupid thing to work...

Lagoon - It's What Fun Is!

Yesterday was my dad's work Lagoon day so you betcha we planned on going! It was so much fun! This is us getting ready to leave for Lagoon. Thanks Missy for organizing it and getting our tickets for us!
Waiting for The Rocket to take off. Um, yeah, I passed on this ride this year. Last year I was almost in tears because I'm so afraid of heights. No thanks!!

Brady and Bevin bonding while Mindy and Dustin were on The Rocket. Brady is so cute with her and will make a GREAT dad some day!

Brady and Bevin really hit it off when he got this stuffed gorilla for her because he won the game "Spill the Milk," a game where you throw balls at fake milk jugs. He was jumping around and throwing his hands in the air when he knocked them all over, especially when the 14-year old kid, in his best carnival-esque voice, yelled "We have a winner, he spilled the milk!" Brady was so excited!

Eating lunch, so yummy! Hamburgers, hot dogs, unlimited drinks, chips, watermelon, brownies, popcorn, cotton candy and ice cream.

Here are pictures of us on the Tilt-A-Whirl, one of the best rides at Lagoon. We went on this twice and I felt quite sick after the 2nd time. I heard someone call it the Tilt-A-Hurl and that's exactly how I felt afterwards!

Brady eating a churro he found on the ground! He picked it up and Sean said "I'll give you 10 dollars if you eat that" so Brady picked it up and ate it! Sean was pulling out his 10 dollar bill when Brady said that he didn't need to pay him; so he did it for free! Yes folks, that's my husband for ya...Gotta love him!

Towards the end of the day we were all SO hot that we decided to go on Rattle Snake Rapids and it was so much fun. I got pretty soaked, which you can't really tell from this picture because it was so hot and dried pretty quickly. If you enlarge the picture, then yes, it looks like I peed my pants. Rest assured, that I did not pee my pants, it's just wet from the ride. :)

So Patriotic!!

So am I the worst at blogging lately or what? It's been over a week and I haven't done a new post, geez, that's awful!
Well, unlike Alesha, I'm not very crafty, but I must say that I am impressed with the cute door mat I made the other day. Karen (Brady's mom) has been making them as gifts for people and bought me one to make, it was so much fun! I unfortunately can't take any credit for the cute wreath hanging on our door because she made that for me. Thanks Karen! I love walking up to my door after work and seeing these cute, patriotic things; it just makes me happy so I wanted to share in my joy! :)
