ALL Sorts of FUN Stuff

We have had so many fun things going on these past few days! The other day, Brady played in the Taylorsville alumni baseball game and I loved every second of it! Even though I was there from 4:30 pm until 9:00 pm and my butt was going to sleep from sitting on the hard chair for so long, it was great to watch Brady play. I have yet to learn all the rules of baseball, but I just mainly focus on him anyway so it doesn't really matter. I tell ya, I love seeing him in his baseball uniform!! Here he is at bat... He went 3 for 3 with a walk, he was on FIRE! I was a proud wife. By the way, Taylorsville beat Kearns 15 to 12. Go T-Ville! Getting ready to run to 2nd base
This is the time at bat that he hit a double!

Very cool field. It's at Kearns High School and it's always fun to watch a game there.

My sexy boy

This was at the Zoo Boo (I think that's what it's called) at Hogle Zoo. It was great weather and it was fun to see all the little kids dressed up. Bevin and Koen are to die for in their costumes, huh?!

This year was my first time attending Withes Night Out at Gardner Village and it was a blast! Stacey, Alesha, Mindy and I had a great time getting all dressed up and walking around Gardner Village, checking out all the little shops and eating cheesy potato soup & pumpkin sugar cookies! YUMMY! (We missed you LOTS Miss!)

UFC and Vegas!

Our anniversay is coming up, December 28th, and what better way to celebrate than in Las Vegas at UFC? I am super excited! The fights are on Saturday, December 27th, so I'm assuming we'll leave on Friday the 26th and come back Sunday or Monday.

For those of you that know UFC, it will be a really good fight night.
  • Forrest Griffin vs. Rashad Evans
  • Antonia Noguiera vs. Frank Mir
  • Wanderlei Silva vs. Rampage Jackson
I'm hoping to get some really good pictures with a few of the fighters. Hopefully as good as the ones Lindsay got when she and Garrett went!

Break-In

I got these pictures off the internet...this isn't our car.
As some of you know, I take Trax to work on the days that I don't drive with Brady. Well, Tuesday night after work, Brady picked me up because we had dinner plans with my family and then we were going to Hale Center Theater to see a play. The play was really long so we didn't even leave Hale until about 10:45 pm. On the way home Brady said "we need to go pick the car up from the Trax station," and I said "well, I'm kind of tired and it's late; we've left the car there before, it will be fine, let's just get it tomorrow"....
BIG MISTAKE!
Yesterday after work when I got off Trax and walked up to the car, I noticed that it been broken into, I was not a happy camper. The funny thing is that nothing was stolen! Not even the CD player. You've got to understand that this isn't a car you'd necessarily think people would want to break into. It's a 16 year old Chrysler New Yorker...I bet the thieves didn't know it had an alarm on it!!! I'm glad nothing was stolen, but now we're left with a broken passenger-side window and it's just starting to get really cold outside! Rats! I mean, if I'm going to spend around $150 dollars (I'm assuming that's how much a new window will cost) I'd rather spend it on a new pair of jeans or something, definitely not a car window. Oh well, life could be worse!

Happenings...

This post is completely random, but oh well.

Today was National Boss's Day...I hope you all got your boss something nice to celebrate! No, but seriously, call me a suck-up if you wish, but I really do have the best boss in the world, so the least I could do was buy her some flowers and write her a nice card, right?!?! The other night Katie invited us over for dinner and it was so yummy! She made us enchiladas, Brady made the Rice-A-Roni and I made the breadsticks. It was so good! I hardly ever cook Brady a home-cooked meal, so Katie was nice enough to invite us over and cook for us. After dinner, Brady went to play basketball while we watched America's Next Top Model and The Hills. I love ya Katie!!
Brady and I have been house/dog sitting at my parents house while they (and Missy) are in Bonaire scuba diving and it's been much better than I thought it would be. I'm not used to having such a big house for just the 2 of us, it seems strange, but it has been nice to be able to sing at the top of my lungs, turn up the music, have the volume on as loud as we want while watching a movie, etc. without having to worry about our neighbors. Dealing with the 2 dogs, Belle and Oreo, hasn't been bad either. What's hard is that Oreo is so old and senile that sometimes he'll just start barking for the heck of it and won't stop. He can't see because of the cataracts in his eyes and his hearing is gone as well, which makes it a little difficult to make him stop. When we come home from work, Belle is always really hyper, so we decided to take her for a walk the other night and the weather was great! I love being able to wear a sweatshirt because it's getting colder outside, but yet it's not too cold.

We went to Brady's mission reunion last weekend and he had a lot of fun. It was fun to meet some of the people I remember hearing/reading about while he was on his mission. Brady enjoyed chatting with his mission president, President Perry, and most of his old mission buddies.
I swear Brady looks like a midget in this picture. Is everyone just REALLY tall or is Brady exceptionally short?

Just the 2 of us

I'm sitting at my parents house looking through some old pictures and came across a file with lots of old pics of me and Brady. It's crazy because this February marks the 7th year since we started dating, geez time flies! He's been with me through thick and thin, he's seen me at my worst and at my best, he puts up with my attitude, he's quick to say "I'm sorry" even if I'm the one at fault and most importantly, he has never stopped loving me! I love to say that it's all JUST BEGINNING!!! I love you so much Brady, you are one AMAZING MAN!

This was Brady's mission farewell. You've gotta love the parted hair

This is the day Brady left on his mission, can you tell I've been sobbing my eyes out? We went out to eat and whenever anyone would even mention his name I would burst into tears!
