Happy 23rd!!

Today is Brady's 23rd birthday!!! Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Brady, happy birthday to you! We had a great day, even though both of us had to work, it was great to celebrate together. I woke up at 5:35 this morning and hung up a big "Happy Birthday" banner in our front room and the next thing I know Brady is waking up at 5:45 asking if he can open his presents. He NEVER gets up that early, he must have been really excited! So, we had a little birthday party and he opened his presents while I was getting ready, it was so much fun! After work I picked him up and we went and grabbed a bite to eat at good ol' Olive Garden then went to my parents house and watched The Biggest Loser and American Idol (both DVR'ed of course...we love fast forwarding the commercials) and now it's almost 11:00 PM and time to hit the hay. What a great day it was! I look forward to spending many more birthdays with my best friend and husband. I LOVE YOU!!

Fun Times with the Girls!!

So, some of my girlfriends and I from high school got together last night and had a great time! We had great food, (taco soup, pasta salad, oriental chicken salad, rolls, chips and last, but not least, homemade Oreo cookies!), great conversation, played games and just had some fun times!! Unfortunately, Alesha, Missy and Chelsie couldn't make it, we sure missed them! Here are a few pictures from the festivities...

All of us, with little Bevin included! Bevin couldn't come to the dinner because Kade is getting sick and Mindy didn't want her catching anything, so after dinner at Gina's parents house, we all headed over to my parents' house to hold the baby. Everybody loved her! She is so precious!

Mekensy didn't make it to dinner because she was at a family party, but we were glad she made it to my parents house to visit. She just got back from Cabo and I am jealous for 2 reasons: 1. she is so cute and tan and 2. I can't stand this cold weather anymore and want to go somewhere warm!

Winter Wonderland

We decided it was time for us to go sledding/tubeing since we haven't gone all year, so us, along with some of our friends made the drive up to Mountain Dell Golf Course around 10:00 and hung out there, tubed down the hill, danced around to music and played frisbee till a little after 12:00. It was a lot of fun, but really cold! The blue sled Brady and I are riding was abandoned and broken at the bottom of the hill, but we took it under our wing and it turned out to be the little blue sled that could! Just a side note...is it just me or do I look like I weight about 400 pounds in the first pic?!

STOP TANNING!!

As many of you know, I used to work at a tanning salon and tanned quite often, but I have stopped tanning and I am proud to say that I haven't been in a tanning bed for almost 1 whole year!! I just learned why all of us should stay out of the sun and wear our sunscreen (besides the fact that Melanoma is on the rise)...Please look at the above picture and maybe you'll understand....

Brady's New 'Do!

Brady thought it was time to get a hair cut from a "professional", since he hasn't had one in over 3 years, so today at noon we made a trip to the salon. He wanted to "clean up" the sides and get a whole new look, so this is what we came up with! I think it looks great and I like the more modern "swept to the side" look. My husband's hot stuff for sure!!

-How long have you been together? Since February 2002....so going on 6 years!
-How old is he? 23 in a couple weeks.
-Who eats more? Brady definatley and he never gains weight which totally bugs me because if I ate like him I would be FAT!
-Who said 'I love you' first? It was me. I said "I'm falling really hard for you" and he said "It's about time!"
-Who is taller? Brady is by a few inches.
-Who sings better? Neither of us are good, but probably me! ha ha ha
-Who is smarter? Hmmm...we're both smart in our own capacities.
-Who does the laundry? Me mostly, but Brady does it quite often too.
-Who does the dishes? Same answer as above.
-Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Brady, if you are looking at the bed.
-Who pays the bills? Me, definately!
-Who mows the lawn? We don't have a lawn...that's what the HOA pays for!
-Who cooks dinner? Both of us...if you call it cooking .
-Who drives when you are together? Brady does, he doesn't trust my driving; who knows why!
-Who is more stubborn? I would say me which I'm not proud to admit. He's really quick to apologize and remedy the situation, wheras it takes me a while longer to give in.
-Who kissed who first? I made the first move and kissed him! I grabbed the remote control and turned the TV off and went in for the kill!
-Who asked who out first? I asked him out first...geez, I had to work hard for him!
-Who proposed? He for sure took care of that one, thank goodness!! What an exciting night that was!
-Who is more sensitive? I would say me, but then again he is really sensitive too. Our kids are doomed and will probably be cry babies.
-Who has more friends? Probably Brady. We mostly hang out with his friends because most of mine are married or in serious relationships and his aren't.
-Who has more siblings? Me, I have 6 and he has 1.
-Who wears the pants in the family? I'm not really sure about that one...we are totally equal!

Love Love Love "The Office"!

Okay, so, Brady and I have borrowed the first 3 seasons of The Office from one of our friends and LOVE it! I dare say that it's taking precedence over Grey's Anatomy...GASP! We watch at least 2 episodes a night and find ourselves laughing out loud! We feel justified in watching more than 1 episode a night because they're only about 21 minutes long....yes, I will keep justifying!! I think I am most like Pam considering we're both receptionists and all, and I think Brady is a mixture between Michael and Jim. If any of you watch it, let me know what you think and if you love it as much as Brady and I do!
