What's My Deal?

If you haven't read this book, DO NOT read this post!

I have been reading Breaking Dawn for over a month now and I'm still not finished with it! What's my deal? I don't know if I'm just over the whole 'Bella and Edward' thing, but I just can't seem to get into this book very much. The first of it was good because they got married and went on their honeymoon and stuff, but now I'm just kind of bored with it. Is that bad? For those of you that have read it, I'm at the part where they're about to face the Volturi and they're inviting all these random vampires from all over the world over to their house. I'm just plain confused and overwhelmed with all these people's names and stuff. I will obviously finish it, but I just need a little pick-me-up! So, if you've finished it, let me know how good you thought it was and what you thought of the ending. Don't tell me the ending, just tell me if you liked the book as a whole. The 1st book was most def. my favorite and I am super excited for the movie.

We LOVE Nickelcade!

On Friday night we went to Nickelcade with some of our friends and had such a great time! Brady and I love Nickelcade! I was mad because I forgot my camera, so I took all of these pictures with my camera phone - not too shabby huh! Here is Brady with his cap gun and fake mustache he won. He only wishes he could grow a mustache like that!! I swear we act like we're 10 years old sometimes, but hey, it keeps life exciting, right?!

Cory and Kristie having a great time. They are getting married on December 13th and are SO cute together. We're so excited for them!!

This is a picture of me and Katie.

Last year for my birthday, Brady threw a surprise party at Nickelcade for me and it was a BLAST! There's nothing like playing Skee Ball, shooting hoops, playing air hockey and pretending like I'm in Nascar all in one night! The best part of the night is redeeming all of our tickets and getting some really cool prizes.

Here is Cory, Chad and Brady showing off their prizes. Cap guns, slap bracelets, a giraffe hat, an awesome beard and all sorts of candy. Boys will be boys... Chad trying to "Sink the Titanic" and get lots of tickets. After sitting in that chair and playing for a while, he finally won and ended up getting over 1000 tickets!

Week In Review

I have been the worst blogger lately!! It's just been one of those weeks, you know? Between work, watching all my new shows (The Biggest Loser, The Office, Greys Anatomy and America's Next Top Model...just to name a few), finding time for the gym, preparing a lesson for Sunday and other such things, we did find time for some really fun activities this week! We went and saw a "pre-screening" of the movie 'The Express- The Ernie Davis Story' with some of our friends. It doesn't come out until October 10th. It was a really good movie. You know, one of those feel-good sports movies. I don't know if I would have gone to see it had I not been invited to see it for free, but it's definately a good show.
Brady's mom got us free passes to the Body Worlds Exhibit (thanks Karen) so we also did that. We had gone to the Body Exhibition in Vegas last year so we were really excited to go again. I learned a lot of really interesting things. At the door they gave us a little book and a pencil to write things down that we learned along the way. For example: Do you know how long the blood network (veins, vessels, arteries ,etc.) in the body is? Well, I'll tell you; it's 60,000 miles long. Pretty cool, huh? Did you know your heart pumps 1,800 gallons of blood through your body a day? Did you know a bull's heart weighs 5 pounds, compared to a human heart that weighs between 7-15 ounces? I mean, I learned some really cool stuff! So, if you get the chance to go, be sure to make time!

And finally, last night after work we went and got sushi, one of our favorite things! Overall, it's been a great week and a great weekend. Although, I'm not sure if I'm ready for the weekend to be over just yet, but oh well. Life is good!

-Bowling-

Last weekend some of our friends invited us to Fat Cats to go bowling and we had such a great time! We paid for 2 hours of bowling and in that time you can play as many games as you can squeeze in; so we were able to play 3 games. I thought I did pretty well considering it's probably been a year since I bowled last.

I had to take a picture of the final score from the second game because I WON! I must tell you, I never beat Brady at ANYTHING we do. We could be playing Scrabble and he'll win, we could be playing tennis, playing cards, seeing who can run the furthest, playing Cranium; I mean, you name it and he will beat me. So, I was just a little "proud", if you will, of myself because he's a really good bowler and I beat him! (We're not competitive at all, if you can't tell). Let's be honest though, he just had an off night, but I'll keep telling myself that I'm the best bowler in the Morlock household for the next little while. (He's "XXX" and I'm "Brittle") .

Gotta love the self-portraits!

'Queen' Said it Once, and I'll Say It Again...

We Are the Champions!!

(3 of my last 4 posts have been solely about Brady so I apologize if you are tired of reading about him, but he's the Brad to my Angelina, the milk to my cereal, the peanut butter to my jelly...I think you get the picture)

The day finally came for the Taylorsville Recreation double-header championship game! The first game was a nail-biter and was WAY TOO CLOSE for comfort, but they ended up pulling through and winning. The second game was an easy win and they beat the other team by 30 points. You have no idea how happy Brady was! He was so happy that the team agreed to give him the trophy, much to my dismay. We have no where to put it, it's huge!

So, I will humor him for the next few days and let him keep it right next to the television. What else could a guy ask for? He can sit on the couch, stare at his awesome trophy and watch UFC....what a life, aye?!

Family...

(I love my mom and Tanna, too, of course)

Pizza from Papa John's.....YUMMY!Um...Is this the cutest picture EVER?!

Phil and Alesha came home from pharmacy school in Pennsylvania last weekend so my parents decided to have a party on Saturday night. We all hung out and ordered pizza; it was super fun! I must say that I am so glad to have them back!! Unfortunately, I didn't take very many pictures, (I don't even think I got a picture of Phil), but the few I took turned out pretty cute. I'm so happy to spend the holidays with my WHOLE family! Nate, Gina and Kade are coming home for Christmas and Phil, Lesh and Koen will be here too; could life get better??

Girls Play Dress Up &.....

Boys Get Tatt'ed Up! The other day Brady and I were at Harmon's and they had packages of tattoos on sale for 25 cents and Brady just HAD to have them. So that night, as we were getting ready to go watch UFC, I walked out into the family room and saw him putting them on his arm. I was laughing so hard and just had to get a picture. He will admit to you that he felt extra cool with them on. It took him a good 30 minutes to get them all on in the correct place.

The final masterpiece....

Putting them on...So funny! Yes, he used painters tape to stick them on his arm before he actually did it so he could see what it looked like. LOL
