Jazz Game - Dream Come True

For the last couple years I have told Brady numerous times that before I die I WILL sit on the front row at a Jazz game, regardless of how much money it costs me. This might sound unreasonable for all you non-Jazz fans, but for me, it's a big deal. So, I was sitting at work the other day and Brady called me and said "guess what," I was curious to see where this conversation was going, so I said "I don't know, what?" and he proceeded to tell me that his boss told him he could take the company Jazz tickets for that night on the FRONT ROW.....I about died. I knew his work had front row tickets, but they are a hot commodity so I never planned on being able to use them, so when he told me this, I was floored.

He came and picked me up from work and we were treated to an amazing dinner at the Jazz 100 club, then walked down to the game. We walked on the court and I intentionally asked the usher where our seats were and when he said "you're right over there on the front row," I was just so excited. I asked him just so I could hear him say that.....ahhhhhh I loved it. Not a bad view of Millsap

Here we are at halftime indulging in all the treats we ever wanted....all for FREE! I mean, why wouldn't I treat myself to a Twix ice cream bar, they are one of my most favorite things.

After the game; sad it was over, but as lame as this sounds, it was a night I will never forget--it was so much fun! Thanks iFreedom :-)

Museum of Natural History

Over the weekend we took Bevin and Mckall to the Utah Museum of Natural History and we had such a great time. We picked up the girls at 10:00 a.m., buckled them in and we were off. It was so much fun to spend time with them and let Mindy have a few hours to get things done around the house. How cute are these girls?!

I loved walking around with Mckall with her harness/backpack on, she is such a busy body and loved roaming the museum so it was a good thing that she couldn't go too far without me right behind her!

This is Bevin looking in the magnifying glass at the algae growing in this big tube of water

They had these big puzzles for kids to do where they put the nucleus, mitochondria, etc. in the correct place, and once it's complete, the whole thing lights up. Bevin loved it and did two times before other kids came along and wanted to do it. So fun.

Here's Bevin staring at the fish in the fish tank - she was fascinated with it!

Brady helping the girls play in the sand/water. This exhibit was trying to teach kids about the deserts in Utah and how the sand erodes and creates canyons and stuff. They played in this sand for a good 20 minutes before we moved along to the next exhibit.

Here we are looking at animals that exist around the Great Salt Lake and look who's in the background of the pic....Elder Oaks. This was our sneaky way of getting a picture of him without having to ask him directly. :-)

The girls LOVED playing in this stream of water and catching fish with their little nets. We played in here for such a long time and of course their shirts got soaked, but oh well, that's what aunts and uncles are for right?

Apparently Mckall had so much fun she couldn't stay awake in the car ride home. We stopped and got the girls some lunch and headed back home. It was such a great time to be able to spend time with them - Thanks Mindy!
