Twilight Concert Series and Utah Game
Missy, Brady and I went to a couple of concerts at the park this summer, Bright Eyes (Brady's most favorite band ever!) and Ghostland Observatory, very entertaining. We had a lot of fun enjoying the summer weather, not to mention all the great people watching - that in and of itself makes for a great evening. haha.
After one of the concerts, we were craving some ice cream and then we drove by an A & W and who can turn down a root beer float? I can't tell you the last time I had a root beer float and it was really good :-)
Brady's mom works for the U and she got us tickets to the first game of the season and it was great. Again, a great night to enjoy the summer weather and enjoy time with my hubby. I couldn't help but look north east of the stadium to Primary Children's Medical Center and think of our sweet angel baby, Pierce. We think of him often and love him loads.
School is officially in for both Brady and I and we're staying busy with that and work, of course. Work has been busier than ever lately, but I am grateful to be employed and count my blessings daily.

Grateful
Alot has happened since I last blogged. I'll be honest, I miss blogging and writing down what Brady and I have been up to. I enjoy looking back and seeing all that we've done together. Hence, a new outlook on blogging and a resolution to be better at it.
Brady and I have had a busy summer thus far, if you can even call it that. I can't believe it's already August....where does summer go? The older I get, the more I miss the summers of old when my biggest concern was if we were playing night games, if I could have a sleepover with my friends, or if I could sleep in the family room with my sisters and stay up and watch movies. Ahhh, the good old days. Nonetheless, we have had a good summer and I feel extremely grateful for all I have. Here are a few things I'm grateful for:
1. Golf. I love watching Brady play golf because he loves it so much. I tag along and ride in the cart whenever possible, or we simply walk 9 holes together.
2. School. I'm grateful both Brady and I have the opportunity and the means to get an education. I'm working on my last big project and then I will be done and will graduate with my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
3. The Church. Brady and I went to the Salt Lake Cemetery the other day with my Nana and she showed us many of the prophets' grave sites which was very humbling and put things into perspective for me.
4. Our house. We are in the midst of trying to sell our condo, but no matter when we move, it will always hold a special place in my heart. It is our first home together and it's filled with many great memories!
5. Cruises. I'm SO looking forward to going on a cruise in October to the Caribbean. Neither of us have been to the Caribbean and we are so excited. Excited to relax for a week and take a break from the hustle and bustle of life.
6. My health. I'm grateful for my health and cherish every day. We are signed up to run in the Layton Half Marathon in October so I'm super excited for that! I love running, it makes me feel so good.
7. Vince. Here is a picture of my sweet new nephew, Vince. We already love him so much!

7 Years Ago Today....
7 years ago today Brady left on his mission to Roseville, California. I swear I thought my world was coming to an end. What was I going to do for the next 2 years?
I grew so much while he was on his mission. I am grateful for the experiences I had during those 2 years and for the opportunites we had to grow as a couple.
This was taken the day he left to the MTC. My family and I went out to dinner and I was just a crying mess. Every time his name was mentioned I would burst into tears. I was so sad, but it was all worth it in the end.
Who knew he would come home from his mission and we'd be engaged 5 weeks later. Best decision I've ever made.

Lady Gaga
I love Lady Gaga. Period, end of story. Tickets went on sale months ago and my friends and I jumped at the chance to get tickets. We all had a great time. We met at Thaifoon at Gateway before the concert for some amazing food (salmon and asparagus...mmm) and then headed to Energy Solutions Arena for the concert. I was initially really bugged because after the opening act we had to wait an hour and half for Lady Gaga to come out, so ridiculous, but it was worth the wait though. I love most all of her songs so we all enjoyed dancing around and singing her songs. All these pictures were taken with my cell phone so I'm not sure what the black border around them is, but oh well.

Las Vegas, Disneyland and Salvation Mountain
For the past 2 years we've gone to Disneyland with Erin and Danny Cornia; this year Cory and Kristie Lucking came and we had such a blast! We stopped in Las Vegas on the way down, yes, we drove to California, and had a great time. We shopped, went out to eat, the boys golfed and we even did some country dancing and then headed to California. We stayed in Indio, which is just outside of Palm Springs. We stayed at this beautiful resort which I loved. It had 5 hot tubs, a big swimming pool and a lazy river...amazing!

Jesus I'm a sinner. Please come upon my body and into my heart

Salvation Mountain in the background with Leonard Knight, the man behind it all. He is seriously the cutest little old man. He just made me so happy.
Love it!
If you're ever in Slab City, California, you MUST go check this out. It was on Brady's "bucket list" and I'm so glad we went. Las Vegas, Disneyland, and Salvation Mountain, were all amazing. I'm lucky to have great friends and a great husband that I can spend time with and do fun things with. I'm one lucky girl.

Lava Hot Springs 2011
Every year for our anniversary we head to Lava Hot Springs for a weekend of relaxation, snowshoeing, sledding and some good quality time together. We always have such a great time and this year was no exception. We headed up Friday after work and came home Sunday evening. We spent all of Saturday snowshoeing and sledding and we had so much fun. It's so great because every year we go, we've had the sledding hill all to ourselves and it's so romantic. We snowshoe about 1/2 mile to the hill and then we go sledding and eat our lunchables and just relax. Is there anything better than that?

Baseball & Softball
I've enjoyed watching Brady play in various baseball and softball games this fall. It's always fun to gather with friends to watch our hubby's and friends play ball together.

I wish I could go back in time when we were in high school and go to ALL of Brady's baseball games. I feel like I missed out on so much of his baseball career because we didn't start dating until I was a senior in high school. I love watching him play baseball and even softball because he's the best short stop around, even if I am a little biased. :-)
