Well, On Second Thought...

As you can see from last post-heading, I thought I was back in action with this blog stuff, but I guess I was wrong. It's been two months since then and I have no new posts! I am really bad at this--why??

Brady and I were looking at our blog the other night and I realized how much I love doing this. It is a great way to "scrapbook" my pictures and "journal" what's going on in our lives. It's been hard because I got signed up with Facebook and I feel like doing both is just way too much (it's really not, I'm just lazy) and it's repetitive. But for my own sake, I am going to start this again. I am going to do one final "catch up" post and then I'll be back on track. For those of you who care, check back, probably tomorrow, and you can see what us Morlock's have been up to.

Be in touch!!

I'm Back!

Okay, I'm back in action with this blog stuff. Now that the semester is just about over, I feel like I have time to spend updating this thing. Brady and I have been really great--just working and doing the school thing. We went to a couple Jazz playoff games and had a blast! I almost lost my voice from screaming and my throat hurt for 2 days afterwards! We had so much fun. Here are some pictures.... Eating at Rumbis before one of the games

Me and Katie

We snuck down to the 10th row at the end of the 4th quarter when people were leaving; if only our seats were this close!

On the court afterwards. How cool.

Go D-Will!
One thing that wer're looking forward to this summer is going to see Joel McHale in June at Abravanel Hall. I don't know how many of you watch The Soup on E!, but he is so funny! We watch his show every Saturday morning and when he said he was coming to Utah, we had to get tickets. We are so excited! Oh also, we finally got a new computer and we love it.

Small Update

I feel like I'm always trying to play catch up with my blog--I am such a slacker! Not too much has gone on since my last post, and I don't have any pictures to post either, I'm really boring. School for Brady and I is going well and I think I'm getting really good grades...my fingers are crossed! We are getting ready to register for summer semester--the sooner we get done with school, the better, although we have a ways to go. Once I take some new pictures, I'll post them, but until next time......

Wow, Time To Catch Up!

Whoa, I swear that I haven't given up on this blogging thing, I just haven't had time to go to my parents house to update it! But, here I am, finally updating our blog. It's been a crazy couple weeks since my last update, so thanks to President's Day, I have a day off and some time to do this. Thanks Mr. President... Brady has been sick, seriously for the last month or so, and it morphed into Bronchitis, so sad. He's been coughing his lungs out, he had a fever, he's been throwing up and all that good stuff that goes along with being sick. When we went to Insta-Care on Friday, (thanks Karen), they did an oxygen test to see how much oxygen was in his lungs and he only had 93%; obviously it should be 100%, so no wonder he's been having a hard time breathing and going outside in the cold air! He's been on antibiotics now for 4 days and he seems to be doing better. Let's hope it just goes up from here.

On January 31st, the big UFC fight took place- Bj Penn vs. Georges St. Pierre. We had a great time hanging out with our friends and celebrating Brady's birthday. Brady wanted BJ Penn to win, but he got dominated, so needless to say, he wasn't very happy. Here is a picture of us with Brady sporting his Hawaiian lei's and his BJ Penn shirt. (BJ Penn is from Hawaii). This was obviously taken before the fight, otherwise Brady wouldn't be smiling and giving a fist-pump.

A couple weeks ago, Brady and I went to the Melting Pot and it was so much fun! I've only been there once and he'd never been, so it was fun to go together. Our reservation was at 5:30 and we didn't get done until around 8:30; if you ever plan to eat there, make sure you allot yourself enough time. The appetizers were great- cheese fondue with chips, carrots, broccoli and apples for dipping. The salad was excellent- leafy greens with black raspberry viniagarette. The main course was to die for (pictured below)- vegetables, shrimp, ravioli, lobster tail, chicken, beef, sirloin, salmon etc. The pot next to the food is what we cooked it in, it was so good! After my stomach was so full of food, the dessert came out, which I couldn't pass up, and it was by far the best part! Bananas, cheesecake, brownies, strawberries, pound cake and marshmallows all dipped in a chocolate fondue. MMMMM!
Here I am enjoying my chocolate-covered strawberries
Here is Brady showing off the dessert plate. We had already eaten a few things off of it before I realized we should take a picture.
And yes, Brady has his mustache in these pictures because these pictures were taken a couple of weeks ago. He did shave it off and he looked so handsome, but now he wants to see if he can grow a beard. Oh boy, we'll see how that goes. :)

Dang Computer!

I'm so bugged because our computer completely stopped working last week (I'm using my parents computer right now)...hence, the reason I haven't posted anything in a couple weeks. What a hassle! We're going to see if my brother can fix it, but if not, a new computer is on its way. I'll post something fun as soon as we are up and running. I have some fun pictures of the last week or two, so keep checking in with us!

Happy Birthday Brady!!

Don't ask me what Brady's mustache is doing; he is growing it out until the St. Pierre/Penn fight on Saturday. Who knows why. Boys will be boys, I guess.

Today is Brady's birthday, he is finally the same age as me...24. I guess I can't say that I'm more mature and much wiser than him anymore, dang it! As a kid, birthdays were the best, but as an adult, it's just like any other day (for the most part); you get up, go to work, come home and do something fun in the evening, but it's been really nice. Brady's been sick lately and he's finally starting to feel like himself again, so it's been fun to have my "Brady" back. He got a nice watch that he's been wanting, some BJ Penn shorts and a couple of shirts. After he opened his presents, we went and ate at Texas Roadhouse, one of his favs. It's been a good day.
I look foward to spending many more birthdays with this amazing man who I am lucky enough to call my husband. I love you Brady!!!

Busy, Busy, Busy

Last weekend our friend, Jake Ewing, got all of our friends tickets to the Grizzlies hockey game. We did this last year and it was lots of fun. We had our own suite that came with food and all! It was so much fun. I don't really like hockey that much to be honest with you, maybe because I never watch it and I don't know the rules--other than the fact that they have to get the puck into the net, but it was still so much fun. As you can see from looking into the stands, there aren't very many people that attend these games. I think it's kind of funny. It's interesting the people you see at these games. :)
Some of the friends watching the game

Before the game, you can buy as many pucks as you want, and in between each quarter you can throw the pucks down onto the ice and try to hit people. It sounds a little violent and scary to me, but the boys really enjoyed it! Here is Jake showing off some of his pucks.

Cory and Kristie Lucking--Newlyweds as of December 13th. So cute!

Umm, nothing really going on here, just hanging out

Also, for those of you who didn't know, Brady and I started school on Monday. I haven't gone to school since 2005 and Brady hasn't gone since his mission, but we both felt it was time to get back into gear. I'm taking classses to transfer up to Utah State (I won't be commuting to the campus, don't worry), I'm going to be attending one of their extension programs to get my bachelors degree in Management and Human Resources (MHR). I am so excited. Brady is doing Finance, so cool. It's been an interesting adjustment and I find that I'm more tired throughout the work day because I'm staying up late doing TONS of math homework and studying for my other classes. I must admit though, it feels good to be back at school and I feel like I'm doing something "productive" with my life.

Until next time, let me leave with you a song..."The wheels on the bus go 'round and 'round, 'round and 'round, 'round and 'round, the wheels on the bus go 'round and 'round, all through the town." Even though I don't ride the bus to school, I thought this picture was very appropriate.
