Todd & Rachel Morlock

Brady's brother, Todd, got married on December 29th; it made for a great day. It was cold and snowy, but beautiful nontheless. It did make me question what I was thinking getting married on December 28th in the dead of winter--crazy!
Brady and his dad This is us waiting for Todd and Rachel to come out of the temple. The best in-laws EVER!
Us...yet again :)

It was a great day at the temple and then it was great to get warm at Crown Burger afterwards...Mmmmm. The reception was at The Carmelle on Highland and turned out beautifully! I was honored to be one of the bridesmaids and got a cute necklace, a great red tank-top that I wore under my dress and some sassy red stilletos! Thanks Rachel and welcome to the family!

Lava Hot Springs

We celebrated our 3rd anniversary on December 28th by going to Lava Hot Springs; it was so much fun! We loved just relaxing, going out to dinner, soaking in the hot pools, sledding and snow shoeing. We stayed in the cutest little hotel called the Home Hotel; it was so nice. Brady also surprised me with a couples massage which was excellent! I love getting massages and it seems as though Brady always gets us a couples massage on our anniversary--I love it.
Here's Brady putting on his snow shoeing gear before the big adventure :) After snow shoeing quite a ways, we came upon this little house that is designated for snow shoers to eat their lunch and relax. So, we did just that. We ate our Lunchables and then decided to use the sleds in the house and sled down the big hill. We spent over an hour there just sledding! We had the whole hill to ourselves--talk about a good time!
Me and my favorite guy in the whole wide world
We came across this pit-stop and drank the cold, fresh water. It was amazing! I swear Lava Hot Springs has the freshest water I've ever tasted. Mmmmm!

So beautiful--Just like the Dixie Chicks say "Wide Open Spaces;" it really was so pretty.
We had to warm up with some hot chocolate that night because it was 1* outside. Brrrrr! So cold!
Videos of us sledding; we seriously had so much fun.

I Love Christmas!

We had such an amazing Christmas; although I didn't take many pictures, I will post the few that I did take. We split our time between my family and Brady's family. We spend Christmas Eve with Brady's family and most of Christmas Day with my family; it makes for an excellent time! Every year on Christmas Day, Brady's aunt and uncle invite everyone over to their house for a big Christmas breakfast which includes anything your little heart desires. The main attraction is the fact that you can create your own omlette. Mine is below...YUMMY!
They have this process down to a science. You walk in and put all the ingredients you want in your omlette in a little cup with your name on a little "flag" that you stick into the cup so they know whose omlette is whose.
Like I said, everything your heart desires :)
The 2 chefs...Thanks Brent and Darrin for the omlettes! Now it's time for me to hit the gym!
Among the many presents that Brady surprised me with, one of the gifts I will use alot is a foot bath....Yes, a foot bath! For those that know me, you know that my feet are always cold and when my feet are cold, my whole body is cold! Brady always finds me soaking my feet in the bath or the sink (see pic below), so he surprised me with my very own foot bath! Thanks for being so thoughtful babe! I love it so much!

Me, before my foot bath. You won't find me doing this anymore.
I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!

P.S. Today is our 3rd anniversary! I can't believe 3 years have come and gone so quickly. It's been a great 3 years and I look forward to many more years with the most amazing man in the whole wide world. We went to Lava Hot Springs to celebrate and I will post pictures this week. It was a great little getaway!

*LOVE YOU BRADY*

Mr. Matthews

The other day I heard that Wesley Matthews of the Utah Jazz was going to be at Fanzz at Gateway signing autographs and stuff, so I knew I had to go meet him! So, after work yesterday I went down to the Gateway (yes, by myself) and was able to meet him. I was totally nervous and kind of star struck--even though he's only a rookie, I was so excited! He was so nice and we talked for a minute and I told him that they better beat LA tonight! (grrrr, I hate the Lakers). Go Jazz!

What in the World?

So, I have to admit how much I love Britney Spears' new song "3." I seriously jam it in my car and love every second of it. As I'm listening to it and learning the words, I find myself singing "Are you in? Living in sin is the new thing." What in the world? I better listen to all the songs with lyrics like this before I have kids because they pick up on things so quickly! I'm not having kids anytime soon, but it makes me wonder when I do have kids, what kind of world is this going to be? It totally scares me!

The Many Faces of Halloween

Oh my gosh, what a procrastinator I am! I really feel like I have no time to update this blog, but I love when it's updated and I love keeping in touch with all of you, so I'm trying to be better at doing this. Things have been crazy with work and school for both Brady and I, but we are handeling it all and are excited for the semester to be over in 5 weeks!

Halloween was really fun and I wanted to post my pictures from the festivities. Every year my work has a big party so we all dress up and the little kids come trick-or-treating and we get to leave work early--all in all, it's a really fun day. Here is a pic of me and my boss; we both dressed up as pirates and didn't even plan it! I guess that old saying is correct that "great minds think alike!"
For our family party, Brady dressed up as Tiger Woods and I was his caddy. We bought body paint from Wal-Mart and this was the final product. It was really fun.
Here we are: Tiger Woods and his caddy Steve Williams. :) I carried a golf club around with me and wore a little bib-thing that said USGA on the front and WOODS on the back.

For Brady's work party, he dressed up as New Mexico; yes you heard right, New Mexico. It was funny. He cut a box into the shape of the state and glued the flag on it, the state animal, motto, etc. Everyone seemed to get a kick out of it.

The back of New Mexico

For our friend Halloween party, Brady and I just wore big afros and were "twins." We wore the same color jeans, the same watches, the same shoes and both had afros; our friends seemed to like it

Also, on a side note, we purchased Jazz season tickets this year and we have had so much fun going to the games! Some of the games we can't attend due to school, but we LOVE the Jazz. It has been a blast! My best friend Katie sits right next to us with her season tickets, so we always go to the games together. Great times!

Lagoon and Family Fun

I'm trying to play catch up with my blog since I've been such a slacker. We went to Lagoon for my dad's work Lagoon day and it was so much fun! Brady is so afraid of heights (as am I), but he was daring and went on the Rocket; me, on the hand, chickened out and watched the kids instead. Maybe next year... Mindy, Dustin, Bevin and Missy. Is Bevin's hat so cute or what?
Me and my hubby--only REAL men wear pink!
Me and my mamacita
Brady loved the bumper cars
My cute nephews Koen and Kade
Nate and Gina
Grandma and Grandpa Olsen--love them!
Lounging out on the hammock at Strawberry Pinnacles, in Fruitland, Utah. It was so much fun--we loved tubing down the river and just hanging out with the family. Is there anything better than that?!
We've had a great summer; it's a bummer that school is already starting tomorrow--I can't believe it!! On one hand, I feel ready to get back in the swing of things with school, but on the other hand, I feel like I just got done with summer semester! Oh well, I am happy to be getting an education and keep telling myself that it will all pay off in the end. Today we bought our school books and that always puts a damper on the day, but oh well. :)
